The story
About Charbar
Founded in 2015 by Connie DeSousa and John Jackson, charbar is housed in the restored 1912 Simmons Building along the Bow River in Calgary's East Village. Its heart is a custom Argentine wood-fired grill, the first of its kind in Alberta, for grilling ultra-dry-aged Alberta beef. The menu celebrates ingredients from the ocean, prairies and local gardens, with shareable vegetarian small plates alongside the steaks.
