About Spruce Meadows
Spruce Meadows is a 500-acre show jumping and events property on the border of Southwest Calgary, opened in 1975 by Marg and Ron Southern and owned and operated by the Southern family. Alongside its tournaments it hosts concerts, festivals and the International Christmas Market, and it is home to Cavalry FC, Calgary's Canadian Premier League soccer team. The tree-lined grounds are open year-round to anyone who wants to wander or cycle the pathways during business hours, without charge, unless a ticketed event is taking place. Foxtrot and Café Foxtrot, on the north end of the International Ring, offer charcoal-grilled specialities alongside family-friendly favourites, and Café Foxtrot has fresh pastries and speciality coffees.
