Join us for a screening of Whispers of the Ancestors, celebrating Indigenous voices while raising funds to support Indigenous communities.Nish Productions, in collaboration with Cree8, presents a special community screening of Whispers of the Ancestors.Whispers of the Ancestors is an Indigenous women-led short documentary featuring Cheryle Chagnon-Greyeyes, Reagan Markwell, and Chantal Chagnon, whose personal stories explore ancestral knowledge, cultural traditions, identity, healing, and the responsibility of carrying these teachings forward.Logline:With the guidance of an Indigenous Elder and Knowledge Keepers, people make surprising discoveries as they seek connection with ancestors and spirits to fill their spiritual void.The documentary moves through stories of connection to ancestors, traditional knowledge, drumming, storytelling, community, and the ways culture continues to be reclaimed, practiced, and passed from one generation to the next.The journey of Whispers of the Ancestors also extends into the community. Through our community screenings and fundraising efforts, a portion of proceeds will support Cree8, Sisters in Spirit, and MMIWG2S-related events and initiatives.
