About this event
La Jetée (1962) is a 28-minute French science-fiction short told mainly through still photographs. Set in a post-apocalyptic, subterranean Paris, it follows a prisoner sent back in time because of his vivid memory of a woman he saw at Orly Airport. He falls in love with her in the past, only to discover that his journey leads to his own death as a child. Country: FranceDuration: 28 minutesLanguages: French and German, with English subtitles and voice-overContent note: The film includes difficult subject matter and imagery, including violence, which may be triggering for some viewers. Admission: Free for members. Non-members: $10. Your ticket includes admission to Contemporary Calgary. The galleries are open from 12–5 p.m. before the screening.
