East Side Dance Teacher Training Conference

About this event

Join us this January for the 2027 Dance Teacher Training Conference as we celebrate the theme Dance is Medicine and explore how movement can foster wellness, resilience, creativity, and meaningful connection in our classrooms and communities. Over three inspiring days, you will engage with renowned keynote speakers Cheryl Foggo and Dr. Moncell Durden, participate in dynamic workshops and networking events, and gain practical, culturally responsive resources you can immediately bring into your teaching practice. From exploring Alberta's Black settler history through movement and storytelling to discovering the powerful role dance plays in healing, identity, and community building, this conference offers a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired alongside educators, artists, and community leaders from across the province. Whether you teach dance, another fine or performing arts discipline, the humanities or, consider yourself an arts enthusiast, you will leave energized, equipped with innovative strategies, and reminded of the transformative power of dance. Register today and join a growing community committed to excellence, inclusion, and the belief that dance can change lives.
