About this event
Bookends marks the first major solo exhibition in Canada by New York-based sculptor and AUArts alumna Elaine Cameron-Weir (BFA 2007), bringing together a body of work that reflects both her artistic evolution and a broader cultural diagnosis concerning the entanglement of technology, systems of belief, and their material economies. Bookends is presented at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery and curated by Tak Pham.Programming dates:Opening Reception: Thursday, September 17, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Bookends Opening Reception | Alberta University of the ArtsArtist Talk: Friday, September 18, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Elaine Cameron-Weir, Artist Talk | Alberta University of the ArtsCuratorial Tour: Saturday, September 19, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Curatorial Tour with Tak Pham | Alberta University of the Arts
