Tour Stampede Park, take in all the stories.Where else can you travel through time, lift the curtain on a legacy, and see how a legend was born?With BTS: Behind The Stampede, you’ll explore over a century of history, thrills, spills, characters and champions. Starting off at Sam Centre, this two-hour tour will take you on a nostalgic trolley ride through some of the highlights of Stampede Park: The Tipi sculpture in Community Park East to learn about the deep connections between Stampede and the First Nations People of Treaty 7, an exclusive experience at the chuckwagon track and rodeo chutes, and a few other surprises along the way. You’ll understand how Calgary’s history and the Stampede’s legacy are forever intertwined.
