Barbie Gerwig at The GRAND

About this event

Life in plastic, it’s fantastic. Until it isn’t.Welcome to Barbieland, where the houses are dream-sized, the outfits are immaculate, and every day is the best day ever. That is, until Stereotypical Barbie (Margot Robbie) has an existential crisis, her feet go flat, and thoughts of death start interrupting the dance parties. From visionary writer-director Greta Gerwig comes Barbie, the gloriously pink, delightfully absurd, and surprisingly profound blockbuster that sends Barbie and Ken (Ryan Gosling) tumbling into the real world in search of answers.Expect big hair, bigger feelings, a healthy dose of satire, and Ken discovering the wonders of the patriarchy.Part pop-culture phenomenon, part existential fever dream, this is Barbie as you’ve never seen her before.Join us for 'Gerwig at The GRAND', a celebration of one of contemporary cinema’s most distinctive storytellers, with Barbie (2023) at 3pm followed by Little Women (2019) at 7pm. Come for the pink. Stay for the existentialism. Make a day of it with Portland Street Pizza and bar service from 1:30pm.
